PURPOSE:To reduce the size of a helical scan VTR by shortening a tape run system, by providing the fixed cylinder of the VTR with an erasing head, etc., in one body. CONSTITUTION:A rotary shaft 87 rotating together with an upper rotary cylinder 82, equipped with video heads 85-, in one body is supported by a lower fixed cylinder 81. On the tape-wound surface of this cylinder 81, an overall- width erasing head 812, a sound erasing head 813, a sound head 814, a control head 815, etc., are provided being united to the cylinder 81. This constitution eliminates the need to provide those heads 812-815 on a tape path other than the cylinders 81 and 82 to shorten a tape run system, and covers for those heads are unnecessary, thereby reducing the size of a helical scanning type VTR. |
