Brake valve for hydraulic consumer - has actuating piston, charged by pump pressure and load pressure

The brake valve is located between a double-acting consumer, and a path valve. It has a valve body, to allow unthrottled passage of the pressure medium in one direction, from a source to the consumer; in a second direction. It permits throttle flow to the tank, and brakes the movement of the consumer. The valve body is coupled to an actuating piston (27), with sufficient free play in its direction of movement. With lowering of the load, the piston is charged on one side by the pump pressure, and on the other side by the load pressure and a spring (57). It controls the valve body, until a power balance is formed between load pressure, relief pressure and spring force.
