Vehicle brake system formed from hydraulic and eddy-current brake

A vehicle brake system formed from hydraulic and eddy-current brake is proposed with graduated control of the output of the eddy-current brake as a function of the position of a driver's brake valve. The brake system contains hydraulic switches (20 to 23) which are acted upon by the brake pressure applied and control the output of the eddy-current brake (28) via switch contacts. A piston relay valve (14, 38), which is inserted between a brake line (7) and the hydraulic switches (20 to 23), serves for transmitting the applied brake pressure.
