The military camouflage panel comprises a number of plates arranged one on top of the other, without their facing surfaces being in contact. The width of each plate is greater than the distance between each two plates. The panel provides camouflage in the IRand microwave ranges of the spectrum as well as in the visible spectrum by multiple reflection, with air being free to circulate between the plates, to prevent the build up of a warm layer. It may comprise a Jalousie with rotatable plates. The panel can be used for military equipment or for a chimney or exhaust pipe.
