The heat conversion apparatus for heating purposes [lacuna] circular containers provided with a ventilation connection (2, 11) having flow connections and return flow connections and a housing which is arranged stationarily in the container, in a fluid-tight manner, and is likewise filled with fluid, in which a rotor which can be driven via a shaft from outside and acts on the fluid is arranged. The apparatus is intended to convert wind and water energy to enable them to be directly and optimally used for heating the heat transfer medium. For this purpose, the circular housing (1) provided with a fillable and sealable ventilation connection (2, 11) is provided on its outer surfaces (3) with external fins (4) which enlarge the heat transfer area. At least one of the housing shells (1') is equipped internally with a large number of radially extending ducts (6) which are open towards the rotor (5). The rotor (5) is provided with corresponding ducts on its surfaces opposite the ducts (6). A passage for the shaft (5') of the rotor (5) is designed to be screened in a fluid-tight manner from the interior of the container (16).
