PURPOSE:To eliminate the slack of a positive mixture by packing the mixture into a zinc can, inserting a carbon bar into the mixture after a brim paper is placed on the mixture, and re-pressing the mixture through the brim paper with compressed air after the opening end of the zinc can is sealed. CONSTITUTION:A positive mixture 5 is inserted into a zinc can 1 which is provided with a separating paper 2 on its inner side wall and a bottom paper 3 on its inner bottom surface. After the mixture 5 placed in the can 1 is compressed, a brim paper 7 is placed on the top surface of the mixture 5, a carbon bar 9 is inserted into the center of the mixture 5, and the opening end of the can 1 is slightly curved inward so as to form a part 12 with smaller diameter. Following that, compressed air introducing member 16, which is equipped with a gasket 15 closely touching the end of the part 12 with smaller diameter, is placed above the can 1, and the mixture 5 is compressed again through the paper 7 with compressed air. Since the mixture 5 is re-compressed by the increased internal pressure of the can 1, the slack of the mixture 5 which is developed by the insertion of the bar 9 or the like is removed. Consequently, the internal resistance can be reduced by improving the contact of the mixture 5. |
