<p>A new process for the industrial production of both levo-sulpiride and dextro-sulpiride. The process consists essentially of salifying raceme sulpride with an equimolecular quantity of L(-)pyroglutamic acid in 95 vol % ethanol, at boiling point. The L(-)pyroglutamate of levo-sulpiride crystallises by cooling, whereas the L(-)pyroglutamate of dextro-sulpiride separates by evaporating the residual solution.</p> |
