<p>The green safety light fitting has a body of a size similar to a fog lamp, a green knurled front glass and a protective grille. It has a luminous output of about 30 Watt. The light fitting is directly connected with the brake light and brake pedal. It can be mounted on the front part of the motor vehicle, approximately in the centre of the radiator on the buffer or on the radiator grille. Alternately, the light fitting can be mounted on either side of the radiator. A third possibility is a mounting inside on the windscreen by a suction holder. It can be of round or rectangular shape. This mounting is useful to warn pedestrians intending to cross the road that the approaching vehicle is being braked. It can be useful for clearing cross roads for indication of a left turn, e.g. on the Continent.</p> |
