Rotor for radial compressor - has integral rotor disc arrangement with groove for seal between discs

The rotor is for a two or more stage compressor. It has a rotor shaft with back-to-back rotor discs, blades and an intermediate sealing arrangement, to seal the compressor stages. The rotor disc arrangement (2,3,4) is formed as an integral unit, with a ring groove (10) for the sealing arrangement (9) between the rotor discs (3). The unit has a turned recess (11) below the groove, the recess being open towards the shaft. The hub-sided ends of the unit each have a connection shoulder (12), engaging on a shoulder (6) on the rotor shaft (1) and a labyrinth sleeve (8) on the shaft.
