<p>PURPOSE:To prevent an error in writing due to tape deformation by delaying a next data write command when a magnetic tape is in a stand-by state continuously for longer than a prescribed time, and starting the writing operation after the tape part is jumped over. CONSTITUTION:When the time interval of a tape run instruction signal A exceeds a time T1, a latch output signal (c) is inputted to an AND gate 12. Then, when the tape run instruction signal A is generated, the run instuction signal A and a written signal D are inputted to the gate 12 to output an energizing signal F having time width T2. This signal F permits an AND gate 15 to stop the write permit signal K of a magnetic tape storage device for a time T2 and also to output a new delayed write permit signal L, and consequently writing to a magnetic tape is delayed by the time T2, thereby avoiding writing data at a deformed tape part. Consequently, errors in writing due to tape deformation is prevented.</p> |
