PURPOSE:To open and close a door by the driving force of a motor by making the direction of the transmitted force of a transmission mechanism during the closure of the door opposite to that when a pickup arm is driven toward the center of a record. CONSTITUTION:A deceleration transmission mechanism includes a worm gear 14b, the 1st gear 10 opens and closes a door 2 through its rotation, and the 2nd gear 28a drives a pickup arm 34 horizontally to a record through the rotation of it. An intermediate gear 24 engages with the 1st gear 10 and 2nd gear 28a selectively by being coupled with the deceleration transmission mechanism, a spring 27 energizing the intermediate gear 24 toward the 2nd gear 28a all the time, and a means which changes the intermediate gear 24 over to the side of the 1st gear 10 against the spring is provided; and the direction of the transmitted force of the transmission mechanism when the door 2 is closed is made opposite to that when the pickup arm 34 driven toward the center of the record. |
