The rotary puzzle comprises at least one cylindrical rotary slide which is provided, in its peripheral region, with holes formed in the axial direction to receive puzzle elements. Situated on both sides of the rotary slide or slides are cylindrical slide members which are each provided with at least one slide hole, which slide hole or holes is or are capable of being aligned towards the puzzle holes within the rotary slides. By displacement of the puzzle elements from the puzzle holes into the slide holes and back, and by rotation of the rotary slides relative to the slide members, the arrangement of the puzzle elements can be changed and, accordingly, the puzzle can be solved. For the forced guidance of the puzzle elements, plates provided with projections can be provided on both sides of the slide bodies, these being capable of engaging from outside into the slide holes in the slide bodies for the forced displacement of the puzzle elements from the slide holes into the puzzle holes and vice versa. The puzzle elements are preferably coloured spheres whose diameter is somewhat less than the diameter of the puzzle holes and slide holes, which are drilled into the rotary slides and slide members, preferably consisting of a transparent plastic material.
