PURPOSE:To develop a soft magnetic material having corrosion resistance, high specific resistance, cold forgiability and specific characteristics, by adding and incorporating a specific ratio of Cr to a steel contg. less C and N. CONSTITUTION:In a Cr steel as the magnetic material, C and N are regulated to <0.01wt.% C, <0.03wt.% N and <0.03wt.% the total content of C+N, and the ingot of the Cr steel contg. <0.1wt.% Si, <0.03wt.% Al and 10-25wt.% Cr is subjected to hot rolling. The ingot is then applied to annealing at 850 deg.C for 2hr and thereafter is subjected to furnace cooling, by which the soft magnetic material having the excellent magnetic characteristics of high maximum permeability, high magnetic flux density and low coercive force is developed. |
