<p>PURPOSE:To inhibit the occurrence of an induced domain by forming an electrically conductive film and a film of a specified polyimide-isoindoloquinazolinedione-siloxane copolymer in order at least on one of 2 substrates. CONSTITUTION:A soln. of a polyimide-isoindoloquinazolinedione-siloxane copolymer represented by formulaI(where each of Ar1 and Ar2 is a benzene ring, Ar3 is a benzene ring or a diphenyl ether ring, and Ar4 is a benzophenone ring) is applied to each glass substrate 1 having an electrode 2 and calcined to form a thin film 3 of said copolymer. After rubbing the film 3, a biphenyl liq. crystal 5 is injected into the space between the glass substrates 1 to form a display cell. No induced domain is produced in the cell, and the cell has improved adhesion to glass.</p> |
