<p>CONVERTIBLE CONTAINER FOR PACKAGING AND COOKING A convertible container formed from a single sheet of paperstock includes a rectangular bottom wall, a plurality of upright side walls, and a top wall joined to an edge of one of the side walls. The top wall along with the side walls connected thereto may be unfolded to convert the container from a smaller packaging enclosure to an expanded cooking pan wherein the latter mentioned side walls form an extension of the bottom wall and the top wall is connected to a side wall. The corners formed by the side walls are connected by tuck flaps formed integral with the side walls which comprise a pair of segments integral with each other whereby to seal the corners of the container in order to prevent leakage of contents therefrom. A closure panel is removably connected to the top wall for enclosing and sealing the container prior to use thereof as a cooking pan.</p> |
