PURPOSE:To prevent a shift of a fixed position due to a temperature and time aging, and to realize an optical communication having a high accuracy, by fixing a condensing lens which is placed between an optical fiber and a light emission element or a photodetector, to the base by use of solder. CONSTITUTION:A condensing lens which is placed between an optical fiber and a light emission element or a photodetector is fixed to the base by use of solder. For instance, the optical fiber 3 and the light emission element 2 are installed with a sufficient accuracy, and after that, a lens holder 41 to which a rod-like lens 4 has been mounted is installed to a grip part 61 of an XYZ micromotion device 6. Subsequently, the rod-like lens 4 is positioned by emitting light from the light emission element 2, and operating the XYZ micromotion device 6 so that light beams which have passed through the rod-like lens 4 are correctly condensed in the tip center part of the optical fiber 3. After that, a solder supply device 7 is operated, and from a solder supply part 71, molten solder of a proper quantity is made to flow out between the lens holder 41 and the base 1, and both of them are made to tightly adhere to each other. |
