Process for treating liquids with ion exchangers. The liquid to be treated has a residual conductivity in the region of greater than 0.2 mu S/cm and the ion exchanger material is present as a mixed-bed filter. The liquid is passed through the ion exchanger material in a perpendicular flow from bottom to top at such a rate that a fluidised-bed proportion of 5-80% of the mixed-bed filter is obtained. A constantly high purity over a long period is achieved. This reduces the annual regularly recurring consumption of chemicals for the regeneration. |
