PURPOSE:To control generation of chilled structure and a crack flaw of a cast piece, by providing a molten metal rectifying plate, and constituting its specific range of a non-cooling part and a cooling part. CONSTITUTION:A casting mold 3 provided with a non-cooling part and a cooling part is installed to a holding furnace 5, and a molten metal rectifying plate 11 forming a molten metal supply port is provided on an operation surface 1 of the casting mold 3 corresponding to the non-cooling part. A range of the non-cooling part and that of the cooling part are set to <=100mm. and 100-400mm., respectively. In this state, when flow of a molten metal is supplied to a low temperature surface 2 of the molten metal, contacting with the operation surface 1 of the casting mold, a part of sensible heat of the molten metal is removed. Subsequently, the molten metal flows to a high temperature area 4 being in an almost central direction of the casting mold 3. In this way, a temperature difference of the molten metal is improved, and generation of a crack flaw on the surface of the cast piece, and chilled structure is controlled. |
