PURPOSE:To reduce the quantity of leaked charges and to enhance the charging potential by forming a layer contg. an electron donative substance as a principal component on an electrically conductive substrate and laying a dielectric layer on said layer. CONSTITUTION:A layer 12 contg. an electron donative substance as a principal component and having 0.5-10mum thickness is formed on an electrically conductive substrate 11 such as a metallic plate of Al, Ni or stainless steel, and a dielectric layer having 3-20mum thickness is laid on the layer 13 to obtain an electrostatic recording body 1. Said electron donative substance is melamine resin, polyvinyl-pyrrolidone, polyamide or the like, and the dielectric substance is polycarbonate, polyacrylate, polystyrene or the like. The resulting recording body 1 has surface uniformity and a film forming property. It can retain sufficient negative charges and can be well de-electrified by AC de-electrification. |
