PURPOSE:To prepare cooked rice compressed in a container having desired shape, easily, by charging a measured amount of rice in a perforated breathable container, dipping in water, and cooking and swelling under atmospheric pressure. CONSTITUTION:A sheet of composite film 1 is placed on another sheet 1 facing the weldable inner layers each other, cut to a desired shape such as the shape of a rice ball, and welded each other at the circumferential part 3 to obtain a flexible bag 10. After filling rice in the bag 10 through the unwelded part 3', the part 3' are sealed by welding, the bag is immersed in water, the air in the bag is expelled through the holes 4, the bag is left at rest for a proper time interval to effect the soaking of water in the rice, and then the bag is boiled in a boiling vessel such as a cooking pan, a rice cooker, etc. |
