发明名称 METHOD AND DEVICE FOR MEASURING THICKNESS OF ROLLED MATERIAL
摘要 PURPOSE:To make the accurate measurement of the thicknesses of various kinds of rolled materials possible by correcting the absorption coefficient of radiations in such a way that the deviations between the measured value of the thickness of an arbitrary surface and a set value is made zero. CONSTITUTION:In an early period of rolling, the thicknesses of a rolled material 5 to be rolled at the points A-C selected arbitrarily in the place going in the inner side direction from one side end face of the material 5 are measured respectively with a contact type thickness gage 6, and the average value of the respective measured values is calculated. Next, a frame 2 is so moved that a radiation source vessel 3 and a detector 4 oppose to the point B position which is the center of a circle (m) measured with the gage 6 and the average measured value measured in this way is taken as a thickness set value in a radiation thickness gage. In the state set in this way, the absorption coefficient of radiations in the radiation thickness gage is determined in such a way that the deviation indicated value of the radiation thickness gage is made zero, and in accordance with this, the thickness of the rolled material is measured with the radiation thickness gage.
