PURPOSE:To prevent ink clogging or the like by providing an ink reservoir having a plurality of thin plates at the tip of a wire holding member in a printer which is designed to make ink record on a recording medium at the tip of the wire by reciprocating the wire. CONSTITUTION:A holding hole 5 is formed in a guide 4 provided at the tip of a wire holding member 3 and a wire 8 is arranged to be slidable through the hole 5. An ink reservoir 7 is provided at the tip of the wire holding member 3 communicating through the holding hole 5, and a plurality of thin plates 9 are provided in the ink reservoir 7 at a fine space along the length of the wire. The wire 8 is moved reciprocally to a recording medium 2 with the reciprocating of the wire holding member 3 parallel to while across the medium 2 and a recording is performed on the recording medium 2 by contacting or separating from it. This unnecessitate any pipe for feeding ink to the wire 8 thereby checking the clogging of ink. |
