PURPOSE:To make the increase in the size of a torsional tester possible by the constitution wherein the reaction of the rotating torque applied to a test body is absorbed by a frame part having sufficient strength and rigidity. CONSTITUTION:Rotating torque is applied to a test body 12 via rotating blate 2, 3 shafts and spacers 4 by driving of the ram of two pieces of oil hydraulic cylinders 1a, 1b, by which a torsional test is carried out. The test data thereof are obtained from a load cell 5. This tester is of the self-balancing type wherein the rotating torque is transmitted from the body 12 to the cell 5, a lower cover 8, a cylindrical body part 6 and an upper cover 7, and returns to the cylinders 1a, 1b via brackets 9a, 9b welded to the top surface of an upper cover 7, and therefore the reaction of the rotating torque applied to the body 12 is absorbed by the part 6 and the upper, lower covers 7, 8 having sufficient strength and rigidity and the body 12 is not affected at all with load except the rotating torque. |
