PURPOSE:To obtain the control system having an excellent follow-up by a method wherein the value of circulating current, to be applied to the cycloconverter, is obtained by performing an arithmetic operaion based on the detected value of a phase control signal and a load current. CONSTITUTION:When the equivalent component of the leading current of an advancing capacitor is Icap, the absolute values of three-phase load current are ¦LLU¦,¦ILV¦and¦ILW¦, and the sine values of the ignition control angle of each converter are sinalphaU, sinalphaV and sinalphaW, the command value I0* is turned out as shown by the formula. Accordingly, as the value of the circulating current, to be applied to the cycloconverter from a circulating current command circuit, can be arithmetically operated and obtained from the detected value of the phase control signal and a load current, and the delayed detection and a waste time accompanying the conventional reactive power detection creates no cause of trouble, thereby enabling to constitute the control system having an excellent follow-up. |
