Liquid transport apparatus comprises a liquid transport line having a liquid inlet (1), rise pipe (2), and an air inlet (8); a pressure-reducing pump (4); and means for replenishing transported liquid, such that a column (h) of liquid can be maintained in the rise pipe when the pump is in operation and the air inlet is open. Liquid transport can be effected by closing the air inlet. |
