PURPOSE:To ensure a correct countermeasure for a user when a fault arises, by providing plural malfunction display plates, shifting the malfunction display plate corresponding to the type of the malfunction to the display position and thus the user notices the display plate protruded in accordance with a fault. CONSTITUTION:A malfunction display part 10 consists of a display plate 10a and a dipslay lever 10b along with a compression spring 11 provided at the lower part. This spring 11 pushes up the part 10. These parts are all buried into the main body 1 of a copying machine. When the paper jam arises, an electromagnetic solenoid 3M works and the part 10 is pushed upward by the spring 11. As a result, the plate 10a moves to a display working position A. Accordingly a user never has a wrong countermeasure to a fault just by noticing the plate 10a protruded in accordance with the fault. |
