PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for providing space for loop formation and obtain a compact device by interrupting the corona discharge power source of an electrostatic charging part simultaneously at the time when paper stops on cutting of master paper. CONSTITUTION:Master paper 2 supplied from a paper roll 1 goes through driving rollers 10 and is cut to prescribed length in a cutting part 3. The cut paper 2 goes through driving rollers 4 and 5 and is conveyed in an electrostatic charging part 6, where it receives uniform electrostatic charge over the entire surface of the paper by corona discharge. Thereupon, when the paper cuts at the cutting of the master paper 2, the corona discharge power source of the part 6 is also interrupted simultaneously. Then, the uniform electrostatic charge is obtained without forming a loop 7, the need for providing space for loop formation is eliminated and a compact design is obtained. |
