PURPOSE:To prevent transfer of a conveying belt on the trailing end part of copying paper by preceding the phase of a copying machine by prescribed size with respect to an original and shielding a stopper from exposure by means of a light reflecting member. CONSTITUTION:The copying surface of an original 10 is projected onto a photosensitive drum via an optical system by irradiation of light from an exposure lamp 28, whereby a latent image is formed. This image is developed to a visible image by a toner and is transferred onto transfer paper. At this time, the phase of the transfer paper is preceded by about 2mm. with respect to the original 10 and therefore, the transfer of a conveying belt 24 on the trailing end part of the transfer paper is obviated despite minor deviation of the transfer paper from the prescribed position. Since the phase of the transfer paper is preceded by about 2mm., a stopper 30 is going to be projected on the leading end part of the transfer paper, but the stopper 30 is shielded from exposure by a white plate 39 and therefore there is no possibility of the transfer of the stopper 30. |
