PURPOSE:To enhance area occupying ratio of a main leg and to miniaturize the overall configuration in the single phase transformer which has high and low voltage windings around the main leg and an exciting winding and a tap around one side leg, by omitting holding plate which is normally provided for the main leg, and increasing the number of laminating silicon steel plates instead of the holding plate. CONSTITUTION:The center core type, three leg core, single phase transformer is constituted by the side leg 1 around which no coil is wound, the main leg 4 around which the high voltage winding 6 and the low voltage winding 7 are wound, and the other side leg 8 around which the exciting winding is wound. In this constitution, the cross sectional area of two side legs are slightly larger than one half the cross sectional area of the main leg 4. The holding plate 12 is provided along side legs 1 and 8, and a filling material 11 is filled between the plate and the leg. Meanwhile, the holding plate 12 is not provided for the main leg 4, and the number of laminating steel plates can be increased to fill the space of the omitted holding plate. These legs are fixed by upper and lower yokes 18 and 19 and upper and lower tightening metals 22 and 23. |
