PURPOSE:To control the concentration of NOx exhausted from a funnel under a fixed value by controlling the amount of combustion air, basing on the difference between the reference value and the concentration of residual oxygen in the flew, melting and burning the sludge in treating sanitary sewage in a fusion incinerator. CONSTITUTION:Sludge thrown into a storage chamber 2 of a fusion incinerator 1 goes down while being dried to a primary combustion chamber 3 and, mixed with fuel from a tank 7 and air from air supplier 11, are melted and burned by a burner 5. Unburned part goes to the recondary combustion chamber 13 where it is melted and burned by a secondary burner 15. At this time, the concentration of residual oxygen contained in the waste gas in the flue is measured periodically by an oxygen meter 24. If the average value of reading is close to or under the set value, there is no output to a controller 26. If it exceeds the set value, the controller 26 causes the air regulator to close thus reducing the amount of air to the second combustion chamber 13. The air regulator 9 controls air to the primary combustion chamber independently. |
