PURPOSE:To save the memory capacity of a word dictionary and to increase the KANA (Japanese syllabary)-Chinese character conversion efficiency, by deciding the deletion of an unnatural combination of Chinese characters based on the connection information between the Chinese characters. CONSTITUTION:The data read out of a keyboard controller 6 is written into an input data register INDR within an RAW14. In case the input data is identical with the data that designates the KANA-Chinese character conversion, the words are extracted out of a dictionary within a memory WD based on the supplied KANA train data. Then a table is produced for combined homonyms in a memory JM, and a register FL that designates a homonym is set at 0. After this, a decision is carried out whether or not all homonyms in the homonym table are processed, an abnormal division is carried out and a homonym is composed of two words respectively. Then the homonym which is designated by a present register FL is deleted out of the homonym table. At the same time, a verb or an adjective is decided from the connection information of words. |
