PURPOSE:To improve the reliability eliminating disturbance to a low voltage circuit from a high voltage circuit by safe separation of the high voltage circuit from the low voltage circuit in a fault locator of pulse radar system. CONSTITUTION:For example, when one ground-shorting fault occurs, a drop in the voltage of a capacitor partial voltage terminal 3a and a rectifier output 5a actuates a start control section 6. The output 6a of a time limiting circuit of the start control section 6 activates an inpulse generator section 1. The output 6a undergoes a matching with a matching section 9 for 3 phase connection via a hybrid transformer 8 and applied to each phase of transmission wires. A high frequency inpulse returns to the applying point from the trouble spot and the transformer 8 outputs reflected waves to a receiving measurement section 12. A receiving circuit 13 of the section 12 receives the reflected waves and provides an output 13a to a range counter 14 to calculate the range of the fault spot. A count output 14a is displayed on a recorder 15. |
