PURPOSE:To obtain an electric charge carrier producing material having high sensitivity on short wavelength sides by containing specific disazo pigments in a photosensitive layer as effective components. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive layer contg. the disazo pigments expressed by the formulaIis provided on a conductive substrate[in the formula, A shows the one of the general formula II (here, X is an aromatic group such as a benzene ring or naphthalene ring, a heterocyclic ring such as an indole ring, a carbazole ring, or a benzofuran ring or their substitution, Ar1 products is an aromatic ring such s a benzene ring or naphthalene ring, a heterocyclic ring such as dibenzofuran or their substitution. Ar2, Ar3 are an aromatic group such as an benzene ring or naphthalene ring, or their substitution products, R1 and R3 are hydrogen, a lower alkyl group, a carboxylic group or their ester)]. The disazo pigments are ground to about <=5mu grain sizes with a ball mill or the like and are used at about 30-70wt% ratios in the photosensitive layer. |
