PURPOSE:To improve reliability and measuring accuracy, and to facilitate maintenance by a method wherein the amount of rotation of a setting dial is indicated in a digital form and stored in a non-volatile buffer memory in a radar and the like. CONSTITUTION:When a setting dial 1 is turned, an incrementary encoder 6 is simultaneously turned, and a corresponding digital signal is sent to a reversible counter 7, while a signal corresponding to the direction of rotation is sent to FF 8. By controlling the operation of the counter 7 with the output of FF 8, the output of the counter is stored in a non-voltatile buffer memory 9. Data read out of the memory 9 is returned to the counter 7. After the output data of the encoder 6 is added and then the data are stored in the memory 9 one by one. The output data of the memory 9 are converted 10 into BCD codes and displayed on a LED display in the form of numerical values and then sent to CPU as data on a distance or an azimuth. |
