PURPOSE:To obtain a simple, easy-to-operate, and secure light shielding device by using a liquid-crystal substance as a light shielding means. CONSTITUTION:Five transparent substrates 7 each have vapor-deposited electrodes 9 on both surfaces or one surface, and liquid crystal 8 is sealed between those respective transparent substrates 7 to constitute four light shielding layers 10A-10D. The light shielding layers 10A and 10B, and 10C and 10D from light shielding papers having optional width in a column direction and in a row direction. Namely, the transparent electrodes 9 having constant line width are arrayed on, for example, the layer 10A at intervals of the line width, but the line width and intervals of the transparent electrodes 9 on the layer 10B are the same with the layer 10A and they are arranged overlapping with the said electrodes on the layer 10A by being shifted by the line width of the transparent electrodes. |
