<p>The safety shoe is to brake vehicles running on rails. It has a clamp to fix it to the rail. The braking is by a thrust and braking plate (5a) pivoted around a claw (1,2,3a) holding the rail. The body has a tongue (5b) pressing on the rail (8) and engaging under the wheel. A pawl (5c) stops the wheel. Two square saddles (5d) pass around the rail flanges to line the shoe correctly. A screw (7) locks the claw and shoe. A hand hole (5a) is provided to aid handling of the shoe.</p> |
