Support bracket for mud guard - has two part clamp on support plate

The centre of the support plate has a raised bracket shaped to position the bottom part of the support tube which links the mudguard mounting to the chassis. The bracket is aligned between two reinforcing ribs pressed into the plate and is secured to the plate by bolts or rivets. A clamping clip is bolted over the tube and secured onto the bracket. The profile of the bracket jaws and the clip is such that they grip a range of tube diameters. The mudguard does not have to be slid axially onto the tube but is positioned with simple manipulation. For rubber- or moulded mudguards a second support plate is clamped to the inside face of the mudguard.
