<p>The large capacity deep freeze cabinet with a stack of containers on shelves behind a single door (13) has a sealing strip (15) between the door and the edge of the cabinet (11). The seal also houses a magnetic strip (16). Incorporated in the door is a pressure equalising valve (21) with a plunger (24) in contact with the cabinet edge and inside the sealing strip. When the door is closed, the pressure against the hollow bellows forming the sealing stirp flattens it, and pressure inside the cabinet is higher than the pressure outside. The movement of the plunger which forms the valve member, permits air to enter, then the plunger is released. Inside the edge of the cabinet, behind the magnet, is a heating tube (20). This and the valve, ensure that the door can be opened again after being closed for a long period.</p> |
