The tubular fitting has a flat round head (6) together with external (8') and internal threads (9), being used to form an outlet or a pipe-opening in the wall (14) of a container. The tubular shank (1) passes through the wall opening (13) until the head abuts the wall, one or more nuts (2,3) are then onto its opposite end to contact the other side of the wall and secure the assembly. Ancillary fittings may include a filter (5) which screws (10) into the shank, the external thread (8') may continue to the tip to locate a screw cap, or the tip may have a nipple shape (20) accepting the end of a supple pipe (21). A flat sealing washer (4) may also be included.
