The invention relates to a sorting arrangement comprising a belt conveyor and a sorting roller 11 arranged outside of the belt 2 at the delivery end of the belt constituting a continuation of the belt conveyor and arranged such that an opening 12 is formed between the roller 11 and the actual end of the conveyor for a separated part of the items fed forwards on the conveyor. At least one orientation screen 15, 16 stretches across the belt conveyor, which screen can be placed into different angular orientations relative to the direction of motion of the belt 2, and which can also preferably be set to different height positions relative to the upper surface of the belt 2. The orientation screen 15, 16 serves to influence the items that are transported by the conveyor such that these, by this influence, leave the belt 2 with their ends facing in the forwards direction. <IMAGE> |
