The invention relates to a container with a rectangular vessel (a), the overall length of which is four times its width. The bottom of the central part of the vessel extends with slight spacing from the ground and has a large recess relative to the front and rear horizontal regions (a', a"). The bottom of these regions is further removed from the ground, after a slope (2, 3), than the bottom of the central part, the front and the rear regions each resting on a demountable undercarriage (b, c) and the interior of the vessel being divided by longitudinal and transverse partitions (5, 6) into a plurality of compartments which are connected to one another by entry holes (7) and of which all the walls are connected to the partitions (5, 6), thus forming a self-supporting construction. <IMAGE>
