Respire phonometer for analysis of breathing cycle - associates microphone signals divided into different frequency ranges with flow meter values
摘要

The respirophonometer uses a microphone and a flowmeter measuring the air drawn in and expelled. The obtained mechanical values provided by the flowmeter are converted into corresponding electrical values fed in synchronism to a processor where they are stored. The microphone signals representing the breathing noise are simultaneously divided into a given number of frequency ranges and associated with the digitalised flow values before being recorded or fed to a visual display screen or a print-out or graph recording device. The flowmeter values are fed via an A-D converter to a spectrum analyser having tuned filters corresponding to the different frequency ranges and two input amplifiers respectively receiving the flowmeter values and the microphone signals.
