The invention relates to an aeration device for arrangement on roof ridges for making possible aeration of space lying under the ridge and preferably for use together with roof coverings made of profiled sheet metal or similar roof covering material with undulation peaks and troughs. The novelty of the invention lies in that it both has an elongate support profile (1) which consists of mainly plane side parts which are inserted under the profiled roof covering (6) and which pass into perforated vertical zones (10) which are arranged with a mutual spacing and the upper edges of which are connected to a ridge zone provided with openings, and consists of a ridge sheet (3) which bears with its edges on the upper side of the roof covering (6) and, with its central zone provided with openings (17) adapted to the openings of the ridge part, comes into engagement with the ridge part of the support profile (1), hoods screening said openings and sealing members (4) arranged between the upper side of the roof covering (6) and the underside of the edge zones (16) of the ridge sheet (3) being provided. <IMAGE>
