PURPOSE:To lower noise level by pressingly bonding a thin metal plate in a groove formed in each lateral surface of a base plate of a diamond blade for cutting stone so as to promptly dampen reverberation induced in the base plate. CONSTITUTION:Each lateral surface of a base plate 1 is formed with an annular groove 4 having 10 to 50mm. width and 0.5 to 2.0mm. depth. A metal plate having a width more than 60% of the width of groove 4 and 0.1 to 1.5mm. thickness, is pressingly bonded to the bottom of the groove 4 through an adhesive piece. The adhesive piece, having a core member made of fabric, both surfaces of which are impregnated with a bonding agent, absorbs minute vibration as well as dampens vibration. It is preferable to use a hardened stainless steel plate as such a metal plate. |
