Games racket, in particular a tennis racket, comprising a racket frame tentered with tensioned strings, a handle portion and a shell made of synthetic plastics material at least partially embracing the racket frame, characterised in that the racket frame (1) and optionally the handle portion is provided with an outer shell being slotted in circumferential direction of the racket frame (1) or consisting of at least two shell portions (2, 3) which at least partially embrace the racket frame (1), the mutually facing edges of said outer shell delimiting at least one slot extending in parallel relation to the plane of the tensioned strings and said outer shell consisting of tough elastic synthetic plastics material having a smooth outer surface, and that the slot or slots, respectively, of the outer shell extending in circumferential direction is (are) closed by welding, by glueing or by compressing within a mould. |
