Provision is made for draining water, from protective layers, laid on bridge slabs or similar. This prevents water penetration into the roadway, firmly joined to the superstructure. A water-draining layer is laid on the sealing layer for drainage via drip pipes. For removing a large proportion of parallel forces from traffic, passing into concrete, the drainage layer can enable joint filling to be eliminated, thus attaining force-locking effect.
