<p>Device for kneading and mixing plastics materials, comprising a pot-shaped container removably mounted on a stand, has a kneading device penetrating down into the container. The stand is equipped with a revolving turntable, on which the pot is engaged by a drive dog, while the kneading device comprises a roller and a stripper blade, both connected to a mixing head above the pot, which can descend to lower the roller and blade into the pot and ascend to lift them out of it. The stripper blade comprises one or more fins pointing radially inwards towards the axis, is rigidly mounted and makes a sharp scraping angle with the inner face of the pot. The mixing roll revolves with a slight gap between it and the inner face of the pot. Preferably, a drive motor for the mixing roll is mounted in the movable head and drives the roller in the same direction as the revolving pot. The mixing head is pref. vertically slidable by a number of telescopic bars on the stand and is biased by a spring into its upper, at-rest position, but can be locked in its lower, working position by a pawl on the stand. This pawl can be released by a push-button. In particular for thorough mixing and kneading of highly viscose substances such as in dental technology. In particular for two-component materials in dental technology which tend to cause skin irritation. The apparatus enables small quantities of such materials to be mechanically mixed without hand contact.</p> |
