<p>In a method for the prepn. of cells in metaphase, esp. for the chromosome analysis of cells of a foetus in prenatal diagnostics, obtd. by amniotic puncture, the live cells are allowed to divide in the nutrient soln. in a tissue culture dish and fixed in the metaphase stage. The mitosis cells are extd. by means of a sterile micropipette and transferred to a preparatory device for treatment in a hypotonic soln., killing of the mitosis by a fixing soln. and applying a drop on a slide for analysis. This allows a prediction of mongolism or of the sex of an unborn child in a time which is much reduced. The remaining cell material remains unaffected.</p> |
