<p>The additional spring is held in a housing inside the main suspension spring on the axle. The housing is connected to the engine suction manifold. The connecting pipe to the manifold is fitted with a load-related control valve so that, when a predetermined load is reached, the valve opens. This allows the engine suction manifold to draw air from the spring housing so that the housing is shortened, ensuring that the main spring must close further before the additional spring is brought into action.</p> |
