The door hinge has a mechanism thrusting it shut and if desired open also, having a supporting arm fixed to one part and with a control member with cam at the free end, against which a thrust-piece is spring-loaded, sliding in the other part, e.g. the door leaf. The cam exerts a torque on the leaf in the closing direction in the shut position. The hinge comprises an arm fixed to the frame and a hinge socket fixed to the door leaf, in which one or more spring-loaded thrust-pieces slide, the tip of each being wedge-shaped and acting against an inclined ramp face on the cam. Between the socket (3) and the arm (11) is a stop face (71) limiting the opening angle (54'). When shut, the arm, which is adjustable for height, is swung completely inside the socket, together with the mounting plate (17) and the clamping screw (40).
